Easter Fun

We had Easter a day early at Grandma and Grandpa Parrish's home in Mesquite. Mark had a hard time getting the egg-hunt concept. We would ask him where the eggs were and he would reply, "I don't know." When we told him to go look in the grass he seemed even more confused. Eventually, after we found each egg and pointed to it, he started to get it.
His learning curve is much greater when it comes to food. It took him about two seconds to realize that the eggs in pretty wrappers tasted really good. He learned the word "chocolate" this weekend.

The big 2! We can't believe Mark is that old. He had an awesome birthday party with Grandparents Parrish, Grandparents Brey, Uncle Tyler and Aunt Randi (with her sidekick Mike). We had a BBQ (thanks to GreatGrandparents Parrish) and Mark's favorite thing was the ranch dip. He got an amazing amount of really cool presents and went a million miles a minute trying to play with everything.

For family home evening we had a lesson on Nephi and Lehi "dwelling in a tent". We set up our tent downstairs and watched a movie. Mark had a blast with the whole project. The second picture is Mark "saying cheese"- looks painful!

We had some fun building a gingerbread train (its from a kit, my baking skills are nowhere near that wonderful). Mark ate two candies for every one that he put on the train. I'm still finding frosting in odd places of the kitchen, but it was well worth it.

Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl

Guess who has tickets to the Las Vegas Bowl tonight? That's right, Mike and Emily will be braving the elements to cheer on their Alma Mater BYU as they take on the UCLA Bruins in the Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl. GO COUGARS!!!

New Baby Photo

Latest Photo of the new baby. We found out on Wednesday that "SHE" is doing just fine. Yes that's right, we are having a girl. The first thing Emily said to me after we found out is that she want's to go buy something "pink" for her to wear. Tenative name will be Megan Elizabeth. I think the only one not excited about this is Mark since he will have to share the spotlight for a change. Somehow I have a feeling though that this won't be the last time that his younger sister will be cramping his style.
