We had some fun building a gingerbread train (its from a kit, my baking skills are nowhere near that wonderful). Mark ate two candies for every one that he put on the train. I'm still finding frosting in odd places of the kitchen, but it was well worth it.

Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl

Guess who has tickets to the Las Vegas Bowl tonight? That's right, Mike and Emily will be braving the elements to cheer on their Alma Mater BYU as they take on the UCLA Bruins in the Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl. GO COUGARS!!!

New Baby Photo

Latest Photo of the new baby. We found out on Wednesday that "SHE" is doing just fine. Yes that's right, we are having a girl. The first thing Emily said to me after we found out is that she want's to go buy something "pink" for her to wear. Tenative name will be Megan Elizabeth. I think the only one not excited about this is Mark since he will have to share the spotlight for a change. Somehow I have a feeling though that this won't be the last time that his younger sister will be cramping his style.

This video was taken (of Mark of course) last week. He is learning lots of new songs in primary and Mom is teaching him lots of new words each day. Enjoy.

Announcing the long awaited arrival of the
Master’s Degree!!

Mike has finally finished his Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering, graduating on August 17th. Six years in the making, his school career ended with a thesis entitled “A Selective Approach to Conformal Refinement of Unstructured Hexahedral Finite Element Meshes.” He’s happy to explain what that means to anyone who asks (if you want the two minute “layman-terms” version talk to Emily). And if that wasn’t exciting enough, we have also moved to a new state and bought a home.

Setting up Shop

We just found out about this from some friends. I've never done anything like this before, so it shoud be interesting. Hopefully our out of town family will enjoy "seeing" us a little more often.
