Our family took our own little vacation to view the Mesa Easter Pageant. It was a quick trip with left at noon on Friday, drove to Mesa, watched the pageant with some awesome friends, stayed the night, swam in the hotel pool, loaded up and got back home by dinner. The pageant was amazing. Mark really enjoyed it, Megan was a little less interested. Of course I didn't take any pictures of our little trip but here are some random ones for your enjoyment.

Mesa Trip
Mike is 30!
Mike has reached a new decade. In the last decade he completed a mission, found a wife, got a bachelors and masters degree, had three kids, got a house and a minivan (with the addition of wife and three kids what else is he gonna drive?), moved at least six times, and added quite a few grey hairs (again with the wife and kids thing!).
Baby Blessing
Baby Ben is growing like crazy. We had previously thought that we would wait a couple of months before blessing him. However he is growing so fast that if we waited much longer he wouldn't even look like a baby anymore. He and his daddy did awesome with uncles and great uncle and both grandpas standing by.

Bowling
Mark's co-op preschool had a field trip to the bowling alley. Our first real trip out with all four of us. Ben slept, Megan bowled an 80 and Mark came in at 59 but he had so much fun he didn't realize he technically wasn't doing very well. It was an awesome outing and one that we will have to do again.
Hairy Tale
Megan sauntered up the stairs the other day and informed me that she had been playing with the scissors. (For those who don't know Megan well I should explain that she has from the beginning been very dexterous with her hands. She has been able to use scissors since she was eighteen months old and she can literally spend hours cutting one piece of paper into a million little pieces that I vacuum up later. So for my sanity and her enjoyment I have let her play with them often enough that she knows where they are and can get them out on her own. Somewhat of a mistake on my part to trust that a two year old will always be okay with the scissors.) Anyway back to the present she says, "Mommy I cut my hair." To which is replied in a very sad voice, "Oh no Megan." She then burst into tears as you can see in the picture below.
Here are the remnants of her first attempt at being a beautician.
